Programming speed-dial codes from the
control panel

You can program any 225 of the 250 total codes with speed-dials.
Speed-dial codes using numbers 1-10 are also associated with the
corresponding one-touch key on the control panel.

To create speed-dial codes (and one-touch keys) containing fax
numbers, use "To program speed-dial codes for fax numbers" below.
If your computer is directly connected to the product and you have a
compatible e-mail program installed, you can also create speed-dial
codes (and one-touch keys) containing e-mail addresses. Use “To
program speed-dial codes for e-mail addresses” on page 112.

Hint

Speed-dial codes (and one-touch keys) can be more easily
programmed from the software. See “Programming speed-dial codes
from the software” on page 115. P
rogramming one-touch keys and
speed-dial codes from the software will not add numbers to or alter
numbers in the PC Fax Phone Books.

Enter the number of the speed-dial code you want to associate
with this fax number and press

Enter the fax number. Include any pauses or other needed
numbers, such as an area code, an access code for numbers
outside a PBX system (usually a 9 or 0), or a long distance prefix.

Enter a name for the fax number. To do so, repeatedly press the
numeric key for the letter you need until the letter appears. (See
“Using dialing characters” on page 107 for a list of characters.)
For example, if the first letter you need is a “C,” press
