Solving general software problems
Use the following table to solve two common, general software
problems. See the software Help for more software troubleshooting
information
Problem
Cause
Solution
On a computer
such as a laptop
that is regularly
disconnected from
the product, you
receive the
following message:
“JetSuite Fax has
detected that the
HP LaserJet 3150
is switched off or is
not connected to
the computer.
The message always appears if the
software detects the product is not
connected.
In the installation program, there is an
option to select if you have a laptop.
Rerun the installation program and select
this option.
In Windows 95 or
98, the New
Hardware Found
dialog box re-
appears each time
the computer
restarts.
Windows Plug and Play is continuing to
detect the HP LaserJet 3150 product.
For Windows 95: If it is available, select
the Do not install a driver (Windows will
not prompt you again) option and click
OK on the dialog box. Otherwise, when
the dialog box appears, click Next and
then click Finish.
For Windows 98: Click Next. When asked
to choose Search or Display, click Search
and click Next. When asked for the
location to search, clear all three check
boxes and click Next. Click Next again
and then click Finish.
