VIO Logic Board

Component of a VIO enclosure (represented in the OSM Service Connection as

VIO module

), the VIO logic board

provides ServerNet connectivity between processors, ServerNet adapters, and attached hardware devices. Each VIO
logic board contains five

ports

. Ports 1 through 4 providing connectivity to processors 0 through 3. Port 5 represents

the crosslink connectivity to the VIO enclosure on the opposite fabric.

OSM software communicates with an internal part of the board, represented by an IME (integrated maintenance entity)
object in the OSM Low-Level Link.

Attributes

VIO Logic Board

Displayed in the Attributes tab and Attributes dialog box only if the value is something
other than OK.

Values

Service State

Physical

A code that identifies the generation of the component. Hardware revision codes are
used for tracking components.

Hardware Revision

Indicates whether the VIO logic board LED is on or off.

LED State

Identifies the manufacturer of the component.
Displayed for VIO logic board in S-series VIO modules only.

Manufacturer

The part number of the component that was assigned in manufacturing. Use part
numbers for identifying and ordering parts.

Part Number

A unique serial number that identifies the component. Track IDs are used for tracking
components.

Track ID

Logical

The date and time of the last soft reset of the VIO logic board.

Time of Last Reset

This attribute is displayed only within the Multi-Resource Actions dialog box, to
indicate whether the VIO logic board is on the X or Y fabric.

Fabric Side

ME FPGA

The VPROC of the ME FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) image currently
loaded on the VIO logic board.

Version

The full path name of the default ME FPGA file on the server.

Default File Name

The version of the ME FPGA image in the default FPGA file.

Default File Version

The differences, if any, between the current and default ME FPGA versions.

Values

Actions

Dump Memory

Dumps a snapshot of the VIO logic board's memory, created by the

Enable Memory Snapshot

action, to a file in

$SYSTEM.ZSERVICE.

You can view the filename in the Action Detail dialog box for this action.

The filename convention is ZM
