8.3 Timing Analysis
In addition to recording and analyzing the structure and content of packets,
Merlin II analyzes time-sensitve operations such as Master-Slave switch,
park, sniff, hold, AFH, SCO and ESCO. These events are expected to occur
at specific times in the trace. The Merlin II software watches for these
events and notes their appearance or absence through the addition of special
timing cells to packets within the trace.
