Anchoring

In turbulent tanks, it may be necessary to fix the probe. Depending on the
probe type, different methods can be used to guide the probe to the tank
bottom. This may be needed to prevent the probe from hitting the tank wall or
other objects in the tank, as well as preventing a probe from breaking.

Flexible Twin/Single Lead probe
with weight and ring.

A ring (customer supplied) can be
attached to the weight in a threaded
(M8x14) hole at the end of the
weight. Attach the ring to a suitable
anchoring point.

Flexible Twin/Single Lead probe
with weight and magnet.

A magnet (customer supplied) can
be fastened in a threaded (M8x14)
hole at the end of the weight. The
probe can then be guided by placing
a suitable metal plate beneath the
magnet.

Coaxial probe fixed to the tank wall.

The coaxial probe can be guided to
the tank wall by fixtures fastened to
the tank wall. Fixtures are customer
supplied. Make sure the probe can
move freely due to thermal
expansion without getting stuck in
the fixture.
