Definition

Definition of a variable, to which an expression can be assigned.

The command must be placed between #ER and #Q!

Syntax

#VDE/name/o/expression #G

Group H (without AP 4.4)

name =

Name of the variable (admissible characters see page 3).

o =

Not applied option for future firmware versions.

expression =

An expression can contain constant values, variables and functions (see
„Expressions “ on page 8).

Define system variable

Definition

Definition of a system variable, to which can be assigned name and value
of each parameter in the printer menu.

The command must be placed between #ER and #Q!

Syntax

#VDS/name/format/RemoteID#G

Group H (without AP 4.4)

name =

Name of the variable (admissible characters see page 3).

format

Format of the system variable. The format can consist of the following
placeholders:

= %N

Parameter name

= %S

Parameter value as string (equals the string on the printer display)

= %i

Parameter value as integer value (precondition for „%i“: the parameter must
be of the integer type)

RemoteID = int

ID-no. of the parameter

A listing of all available ID-numbers can be generated by calling

SPECIALFUNCTION > Parameter to CF
