Variable data field
Definition
This command is used for filling a field with variable data. Field types for
variable data are text fields and bar code fields. The variable data field
must be made known to the printer before the command #YV is used (see
To draw a maximum benefit of the printers performance, print jobs should
send the variable data for the #YV field in the same order in which the fields
are printed. Thus, the fields can be updated while printing. Otherwise, the
printer has to wait with updating, until the respective #YV field is printed,
what can slow down the throughput!
Variable data fieds may not be combined with counting fields!
