In the Missing Fonts dialog, click Close.
When the missing fonts have been synced to your computer, the Creative Cloud app displays a notification
indicating the number of the fonts (or the name of a single font) downloaded. The document is updated, and Text
elements are rendered in the correct fonts.
Substituted fonts preference
When text in an Illustrator document uses a font that is not available on your computer, the text is rendered in with a
substitute font, and the content is highlighted in pink.
• The preference to highlight a substituted font is now available in the Preferences dialog (Ctrl/Cmd + K > Type tab
> Highlight Substituted Fonts checkbox).
• The preference is switched ON, by default.
• This setting is now Illustrator-specific, and is applicable to all files opened.
Note: Prior to this release, the Highlight Substituted Fonts was available in the Document Setup dialog, and was a file-
specific setting. From the 2014 release of Illustrator CC this option is an application-level setting.
