Testing the Alarm
The alarm can be tested by fûllowing these steps:
1 . Fram inside the vehicle^ lower the driver's window
and of>en the driver's doon
3 ^ Activate the system by locking the doors wilh Ihe
power door lock switch while ihe door is open, or
with the remote keyless entry transmitler.
a. Get oui of Ihe vehicle^ close the door and wait For
the SECURITY light to go oui.
4 , Then reach in through Ihe window, unlock ihe door
with iho manual door lock arkd open tho door. This
should set off Ihe alarm.
When the alarm is set the power door unlock switch is
no! operatior>aL
If the alarm does not sound when It should but ihe
headlamps flash, check to see if ihe hom works.
The born fuse may be blown. To replace the fuse,

If Ihe alarm does not sound or Ihe headlamps cfo not
Hash, Ihe vehicle should he serviced by your dealer.

Your vehicle is equipped with the

Passlock'*^ IS e passrve IheFt-deterrent system,
Passlock*^ enables fuel if the ignilion lock cylinder is
turned with a valid key. If a correci key is nol used or Ihe
ignition lock cylinder is tampered with, Ifie fuel system
Is disabled and the vehicle will not slan.
During normal operation, the SECURITY lighi will turn off
approximately five seconds after The key Is fumed to HUN
If Ihe engina stalls and the SECURITY light flashes,
wait about 10 minutes until fho Hgtil stops flashing hetore
iryif^g to resfarl the engine Rerriemberto release the
key from START as scon as the engine starts.
If the engine does not start after three tries, (be vehicle
neecfs sarvice.
It tho engine is running and the SECURITY light comes
on, you will be abla to rostart Ihe engrne If you turn
tha engine off. However, your Pasglock® system ts not
working properly and must be serviced by your
dealer. Your vehicle is not proleclod by Passlock®' at
