AM FM (Alternate Frequericy)i: AHernate frequency
allows I he radio to &wiich fa a stronger slalion wilh the
same program type. Press and hold AM FM for two
seconds to turn alternate frequency on. AF ON
will appear on ihe display. The radio may switch lo
stronger etatrong. Pnesg and hold AM FM again tor two
seconds to turn alternate ftequency oH, AF OFF will
appear on the display. Thg radio wilt nar switch to other
stations. When you lurn the ignition off and then on
again, the alternate frequency tgaiure will agiomaticaJly
be turned on.
RDS Messages
ALERT!I Alert warns of local or natk>nai emergericies.
When an alert announcement coimes an Ihe current
radia station,
alerti wifi appear on the display. You will
hear the announcement, even II the volume la muted
or □ compacl disc is playing, ft the compaci disc player
is playing, play will stop durir^g the announcement.
You will not he al;iEe to turn off alert annagncamants.
ALERTI will not be affected by tests of the emergency
broadcast system. This feature is not supported by
all RDS stations.
tNFO (Information): If the current station has a
message, Ihe inlonnation symbol will appear on Ihe
display, Press this button to see the message. The
message may display the artist and song title, call in
phone numbers, etc.
If ihe whole message is nol displayed, parts of il wifi
appear every three seconds. To scroll Ihrough the
message at your awn speed, press tho INFO burton
repeatedly. A new group Of words will appeer on
the display with each press. Once the complete
message has been displayed, ihe information symbol
will disappear from the display unlil another new
message Is received, The old message can be displayed
by pressing Ihe INFO button until a new message is
received or a different station is tuned to.
When a message rs not available from an slalion,
NO tNFO will be displayed.
TRAP (Traffic): Press this button to receive traffic
announcements, if the current luned station dees not
broadcast irainc announcemenTs, the radio wifi seek lo a
station that does. When ihe radio fmds a slaticn that
broadcasts traffic announcements, it will stop. TRAP will
appear on the display and when a traffic announcement
comes on you will hear it. if no station is found,
NO TRAP will appear art the display.
