DISP (Display): Press this knob ta change what
appears on the display while using RDS. TTie display
options aiie station na[ne^ ROS station irequoncy,
PTY and ihe nante ot The pnogran (il available).

To change The detauil on tha ctisplay, push the knob

until you soe [he dtsplay you want, then hold the knob
lor two seconds. The radio will produce one beep
and selected display will now be ihe deiauH.

Finding a PTY Station

To select and find a desired PTV perform the following:

will appear on the display.

AM FM (Altérnalo Frequency): Alternate frequency

display. The radio will not switch lo other stations. When
you turn Ihe ignition off and then on again, the alternate
irequancy leature will autnmalically be turned on,

RD5 Messages

ALERT!: Alert warns of looal nr national emergencies.

When an atert announcament comes on tho current

radio stetion, ALERT! will appear on the display. You will
hear Ihe announcement, even if the volume is muled
or a cassette lape or compact dtsc .is playing, li the
cassette tape or compact disc pfayer is playing, play will
stop during lha announcemeni. You will not be able
to turnoff alen announcemonts.

ALERT" will nol be affacted by lesis of the emergency
broadcast system. This feature is not supported by
all RDS stations,
