At Least Once a Year Starter Switch Check
Key Lock Cylinders Service
Lubricate the key ic>ck cylinders with the
lubctcanl
specified m Part O.
Body Lubrication Service
Lubricate all hood latch assembly, secondary latch,
pi^/ots, spring anchor^ release pawl, rear corrparlfnent
hinges, outer littgale handle pivot points^ rear door
detent link, roller mechanism, littgate handle pivot pohnts,
latch bolt, fual door hinge, cargo door hinge, locks
and folding seat hardware. Pari D tells you vvhat ic use.
More trequent lubrioatiori may he required when
exposed to a cornosive environment.

CAUTION:
When you are doing this check, the vehicle
could move suddenly. If It does, you or others
could be Injured- Follow the steps below.
1. Before ybu start, be sure you have enough room
around the vehicle.
2. Firmly apply both the parking brake and the regular
brake. See Pafi^iing Bfakc on page2'29 il
nocossary.
Do noi use the accelerator pedal, anti be ready lo
turn off the engine immedtaiety if il starts.
3. Try lo start the engine in each gear. The starter
should work bnly In PARK (P) or MEUTRAL {W).
If the starter works jn any Dlhor position, your
vehicle service.
