programming a garage dcror, il is advised to park outside
of garage.
It is recommended that a new battery he installed m
your hand-held Iransmitler for quicker and more
accurate transmission of Ihe radio frequency.
Your vehicfe’s enging should ba turned off while
programming ihe transmitter. Follow these slops to
program Up to three channels^
1. Press and hold down the two outside buttons,
releasing only wh^n the indicator light begins lo
Kash, after 20 seconds. Do not hold down the
buiioos lor longer than gii sEconds and do not
repeat this step to program a second and/oi third
Iransmilter lo the Tsmaining two Home Link®
buttons.
2. Position the ond o( your hand-hefti transmitter
about 1 to 3 inches {3 to 6 cm) away lioni Ihe
HomeLInk® bultgns while keeping the Indicatar
light in VIEW
3. SimultanEously press and hold hctli the desired
butlon on HomeLiPk™ and Ihe hand-held
transmitter butlon. Do nol release tha bultoris until
Step 4 has been completed.
Some entry gales and garago dcMt openers may
require you to substitute Step 3 with the procedure
noted In "Gate Operator and Canadian
Programming" later In this secEion.
4, The indicator light will flash slowly al firsl and then
rapidly afler homaLrnk'^ successfully receives the
frequency signal from Ihe hand-held transmitter
Release both buttons.
5. Press and hold the newSy-trained HomeLink^'
button and observe the indicaior light.
If lha indicator itghi stays on conslanti/,
programming fs complete end your device should
activate when Ihe HomeLInk® button is pressed and
released.
To program thg remaining iwo Hom&Link®' buttons,
begin with Step 2 under "Prcgramming
HomeLinii® T Do not repeat Step 1 as this will
erase all of Ihe programmed channels.
