Die Warnings and Messages
Warning messages arn displayed on the DIC to notify
the driver thal Ihe status of the vehicle has changed and
that some action may ho needed by Ihe driver (o
correct the condition. More than ene message may
appear at one time. They will appear one behind
the other, Soma messages may rwt require immediate
action but you should press the select button to
acknowledge that you received the message and clear
it from Ihe display. Some messages cannot be
cleared from the display because they are more urgenl.
These messages require action befora thoy can bo
removed from the DIC display. The following are
the possible messages lhal can he diaplayed and some
inlormation about them.
ENGINE COOLANT HOT/IDLE ENGINE
If the cooling syslem lemperalure gets hot, Ihis
messago will appear in fhg DIC and you will hear a
chime. Slop the vehicle and let the eng ¡no Idle in
PARK (P} Jo allow the coolant to reach a safe
tomperalüre. This message will clear when Iho coolant
temperatura drops to a safe operating lemperalure.
OIL PRESSURE LOW/STOP ENGINE
H low oil pressure levels occur, this msssago will
be displayed on ihe DIC Slop ihe vehicle as soon as
aafely possible and do noL operate it until the causb
of the low oil pressure has been corrected, Check your
dll as soon as possible and have ybur vehicle
serviced.
BATTERY NOT CHARGING
II the battery is not charging during operation, this
message will appear on the DIC. Driving with Ihis
problem could drain your battery. Have the clociical
system checked as soon as possible Pressing ihe
select button will acknowledge Ihis message and dear
it from thg D3C display.
SERVICE AIR BAG
If there is a problem wilJi ihe air bag syalem this
massage will be dispfayed on the DIC. Have a qualified
technician Inspect the system fer problems. Pressing
the select button will acknowledge this message
and dear it from the DIC display.
