Buying New Tires
To find oo:t what Kind and size oi tires you neod, look
al the Certification/Tire label
The tires installed on your vehicle when rt wgs new had
a Tire PerforiTiance Cnleria Specification (TPC Spec)
number on each lirg^s eidewgil Whon you get new lires,
get ones with that satne TPC Spec number. Tliat way
ygur vehicle wiH continua to liave ttrss that are designed
to give proper endufance, handling, speed raling,
traclion, rde and other Ihmgs during normal servcca on
your vehicle. If your lires have an all-season tread
design, the TPC numher will be lollowed by an "MS"
(for mud and snow).
It you ever replace your tires with those not having a
TPC Spec number, make sure They are the same
EFze. toad range, speed rating and dOnsEruClion type
(bias, bias-belted or radial) as yourodginal tines.
A CAUTION:
Mixing lires could cause you to lose control
whjfe driving. It you nrijx tires of different sizes
□r types (radial and bias'belted tires) the
vehicle may not handle property, end you
could have a crash. Using tires of differeni
sizes may also cause damage to your vehicle.
Be sure to use the same size and type tires on
all wheels.

wheel rim flanges could develop cracks after
many miles of driving. A tire artd/or wheel
could fail suddenly, causing a crash. Use only
radial-ply tires with the wheels on your vehicle.
