When to Check Power Steering Fluid
It
Is nol necessary to regularly check powar steering fluid
unless you susped thsce is a leai< in the system or
you hear an unusual noise. A fluid loss in this systern
could indicate a problem. Have the system Inspected
and repaired. See

How to Check Power Steering Fluid
Turn the key att, int the engine compartment coot down,
wipe The cap and the top of (he reservoir clean, then
unscrew the cap and wipe the dipstiok with a clean rag.
Replace the cap and completeiy lighien i|. Then
remove the cap again and look at the fluid level on
thü dipstick.
For vehicles wi|h [hg j_6 engine, the level should be
al the C (cold) mark. For vehicfes wrth the VO engine,
the fevel should he at the FULL mark.
If
rrecessary,
add only enough fluid to bring the level up to the ппагк
