SCAN; Yùu сап also scan through the channels within
a caiegory by performtng the ioilowing:
U Press The P-TYPE button. P-TYPE and The last
selected PTV will be dt&pJayed on the screen.
2. Select a category by turning thg P'TVPE Knob.
3. Once The desired category is displayed, pross and
hold either SCAN anow, and tha radio will begin
scanning within your chosen category,
4. Press either SCAN arrow again to slop at a
particular station.
AM FM {Alternate Frequency); Alternata frequency
allows ihe radio
\o switch to a sironger station with the
same program type. Press and hold AM Fiyi tor two
seconds to lurn alta mate trequency on. AF ON
will appear on the display. The radio may switch to
stronger stations. Press and hold AM FM agatn for two
seconds to torn alternale trequency off. AF OFF will
appear on ihe display. The radto will not switch to other
Slalions. Whan you turn the ignition off and ihen on
again, ihe alternale frequency feature will automatically
be fumed on.
Setting Preset PTYs
The A\x numbered pushbullcns let you return to your
favorite PTVs- These buttons have factory PTY presets.
You can set up tc 12 PTYs (six FM1 and six FM2) by
perfonmlng the folfowing steps:
t. Press BAND to select FM1 or FM3,
2. Press the P-TYPE button to activate prrjgram type
select mode.
3. Turri the P-TVPE Itnob to select a PTY.
4. Press and bold one of the sw numbered
push bulto ns until you hear a beep,. Whenever you
press lhat numbered pushbutton, tho PTY you
sel will return.
5. Ftepoal the Steps lor each pushbutton.
