Ttì& TRAC OFF light On Iho butlDh ^lll come on under
ihe following coodiUons;
■ ThB Traction Assist System is lurned ofi, eilher hy
pressing Iho TAS on/aff bulton or by turning off
the aotorinatic engagement toature of the TAS.
* Tho transmission is m FIRST (1) gear; TAS will not
operate in this gear. This is narmal.
• The vehicle is driven on an sutremely rough road.
When Ihe vehicle leaves
ihe
rough surface, slows
down or stops, the Eight will go off and TAS will
be on again. This is normal.
■ A Traction Assist System, Anti-Lock Brake System
or engine-related p rob lenì has been delected and
the vehicle needs service.
The Tracdon Assist System, as delivered from Ihe
laclory, will autorngtioally come on whenever you start
your vehicle To fimit wheel spin, especialty in
slippery road condilioos, you should always leave the
system on. Bui you can lurn Ihe TAS off if you over need
to. You should turn the TAS off rf your vehicle ever
gets stuck in sand, mud or snow and rockirig the vehicle
is required..

You can turn the system hack on at any limo by
pressing the button again The TRAC OFF light on the
button should go off.
It deslrEd^ you can change Ihg TAS automatic
engagement feature so thal the systent will nol come on
autorralically when the engine is started. To do so;
1. Park the vehicle wuh ihe ignition ott and Ihe
transmission in PARK fP).
3. Turn The igniiion to RUN; do not start The engine.

pedal to the floor and then press the TAS OFF/OH
