windshield wipers
You can sel Ihe wiper speed for a long or short delay
between wipes. This can be very usaful In light rain
□r srow. Turn Ihe band to choose the delay lime. The
closer 10 the top nf the lever. The shorter the delay.
For sloady wiping at low speed, turn Ihe band away Trom
you lo the first solid band past Ihe delay se-timgs. For
high-spoed wiping, turn the bar>d furlhern lo the second
solid band past the delay settings. To stop ihe wipers,
move the band to oN.
ae sura to clear ice and snow frorr^ the wiper blades
before using ihem, If Ihey’re frozen to the windshield,
carefully loosen or thaw them, ll your blades dc become
worn or damaged, gel new blades or blade inserts.
Windshietd Wipers
Your vehicle may be equipped with
Hainscnse^“ Windshield wipera. When active, ihesa
wipers are able to detec! moisture on the windshield and
automatically turn on the wipers
The moisture sensor is located next to the inside
rearview mirror and is mounted on ihe windshield.
To turn on the Rainsense™ feature, the wipers must be
sot to one of the Five delay sottlngs on Ihe rnultitunctlon
lever. Each of tho five settings adjusls the sensitivity
pf the rainsensor. For more wipes, select the higher
settings: tor lewer wipes, select the lower settings
located closer lo off on the multifunclion lever
The ramsensof will auiomaticaliy conirol the irequency
of Ihe wipes from off to high speed acconiing lo ihe
wealher condilions. The wipers can be left in a
rainsense mode even when ii is not raining.
Notice: Turn the windshield wiper band on Ihe
muItifuruction lever to oft to avoid wiper damage
when going through an automatic car wash.
