1. Flip the handle up and then pull oul the dipstick
and wipe il with a Clean rag or paper (owel.
2. Push it back in all the way, wait Ihree seconcJs and
then pull it hack out again.

Add fluid only after checking ihe iransmisión fluid while
IT is hot. {A cold check Is used only as a reference.)
If the lliuld level Is Jow, add only enough of (he proper
fluid to bring the fevei up to Ihe HOT area tor a hot
check- It doesn't takp much fluid, generally less than
one pint (0.5 L) Dorr'f

made especially for your automatic transmission.
Darrage caused

■ Atfor adding fluid, recheck the fluid level as
described under ''How to Chock".
■ When the correct fluid level is obtained, push Iho
dipstick back in aif the way: then flip the handle
duwn to lock the dip&tick in place.

dipstick hack in all the way then flip ihe handia
down to lock the dip&tick in place.
