Replacing Restraint System Parts
After a Crash

CAUTION:

A crash c^n damage the rcatralint systems in
your vehicle. A damaged restraint system may
flol prof>erly protect the person using it,

resulting in serious tnjury or even death in a

crash. To help make sure your restraint

systems are working properly afler a era ah»
have thorn inspected and any necessary
replacoments made as soon as possible.

system parts?

After a very minor collision, nothing may he necessary.

But It the belts wera stretched, as Ihey would he if

worn durng a mûre severe crash, thon you need

new parts.

IÍ the LATCH system was being used during a more
severe crash, you may need now LATCH system parts.

It belts are cul or damaged, replace them. Collision
damage also may mean you will need lo have LATCH
syslem, safety belt or seat ports repaired of replaced

New parts and repairs may be necessary even it the bell
or LATCH system wasn't being used at the lime of
me collision.
