Temperature Control
Driver's Side: The igver on ]he left side of ihe clirrrate
control panel la used to raise or lower The temperature
on the driver's side of 1he vehicle. Slide ihe lever
up or down lo adjus! the temperature.
Pasaengera Side; The lever on The (ighT sicJa ot the
dlmale control panel is used to raise or lower the
tempeiiaturo on the passenger's side of (he vehicle.
Slide the lever up or down to adjust tr>o tomperature.
This lever also adjusts the lemperalure to the rear sear
outlets.
When the temperalure outside is Ch'l^ or lower,
use the engine cootanl heater, il equipped, to provide
warmer taster to your vehicle.
(Air Conditioning^: Press this button to turn the
ait-condllioning system on or oH, When Ihe button
is pressed, an indicator light vriil come on and lhe
system wHI begin to coot and dehumidily the air
inside of yoor vehicle. Vou may notice a slighi change
in engine performance when fhs air conditioning
compressor shots off and turns on again.
This is noimal.
Defogging and Defrosting
Fog on the insicfa gl windows is a rggutt of high humidily
(moisture) condensing on the cool window glass. This
can be minimized if the climate conirof system is
used pnopariy. There are iwo modas to choose from lo
clear fog or frost from your windshield. Use the
defog mode to clear the windows oi fog or moisture and
warm Ihe passengers. Use the dafrost mode lo
remove fog or Trosl from the windshield more quickly.
Turn The nght knob clockwise or counterclockwise
to seleci one of The following rTTcdes;
(Defog): This mode directs the air to the floor
riiuHels, windshield and side wmdow oullels. The
reciroulation button cannot be selected while in
defog mode.
(Defrost}: This mode direels most of the air to the
windshield and the side window outlets, with only a
tittle air directed lo Ihe floor outlets. The dir condilionirig
compressot may run tp dehumidify the air to prevoni
window fogging. The tecircuiation buiton cannot
be selected while in dolrosi mode. Do not drive the
vehicle until all the windows are clear.
