Bafone closing the hood, be sure all tiller caps зге
on properly Then lilt the hood to relieve pressure
on the hood prop. Remove the hood prop from its sEat
in the hood and return Ihe prop !o its retainer.
Then pull Ihn hood down firmly lo close It will latch
when dropped from 6 to в inches {15 to 20 cm)
without pressing on |he
hood.
You shouFcl check your engine oil tevel regularly; this is
an added reminder.
Checking Engine Oil
ll’s a good idea to check your engine oil every time you
gel fuel- In order to get an accurate reading, the oil
must be warm and the vehicle musl be on level ground.

Turn oft ihe engine and give the oil several rrinutes Ic
drain back into the oil pan, if you don't, ihe oil
dipsfjck might not show the actuaf level
Pull out Ihe dipsthck and clean if with
a
pafjcr towel or
cloth, ihen push It back In all the way. Remove it again,
keeping the lip down, and check The level.
