8. Cap the hydraulic pressure hose and position it
out of the way.
9. Remove both hex nuts and lock washers
securing the gear pump to the coupling shield
using a 1/2" socket. See Figure 6-97.
10. Support the gear pump from below and
remove the remaining rear hex bolt using a
1/2" socket. See Figure 6-98.
11. Remove the gear pump and set it on a work
bench. See Figure 6-99.
12. Remove the 45 degree elbow from the gear
pump using a 7/8" wrench.
13. Remove the set screw securing the lower cou-
pling half to the pump input shaft using an 1/8"
allen wrench. See Figure 6-100.
NOTE
Perform the Flexible Coupling Adjustment sec-
tion during assembly.
