free of the center jack shaft assembly. See Fig-
ure 3-254.
3 .Pivot the 9T tine input sprocket assembly and
#50 chain away from the center jack shaft
assembly. See Figure 3-255.
NOTE
Loosening the hex nuts and bell-washers
securing the jack shafts to the gear case
assembly will ease installation.
4. Inspect the 9T tine input sprocket assembly for
wear or damage.
5.Remove the #50 chain from the 18T tine shaft
assembly. See Figure 3-256.
6.Remove and inspect the 18T tine shaft assem-
bly for damage or wear. See Figure 3-257.
7.Inspect the weld securing the 18T gear to the
tine shaft assembly to make certain it is not
broken or defective.
8.Assemble in the reverse order above.
