7.2.3 Ring groups
Ring group
The ring group is a routing object which is used in the cases when you want to route incoming call to
more destinations at the same time. The ring groups are also used as user groups within which users
can take over their calls. It is useful for situations when one of the users isn't present and his (or
hers) phone is ringing. For this purpose are intended services Take over from group and Take
over from my group. For these services the ring group have to contain only stations!
Ring group setting
The ring groups you can set up in the menu Routing – Routing objects – Ring groups . On the left
side of the menu is displayed list of created ring groups. Via context menu you can ring groups add,
delete or rename. If you choose one of the ring groups, you can set up its parameters on the right
side of this menu.
This menu consists of few parameters with following meaning:
Number – This number is used for identification of the specific ring group within the services for
taking over the calls. If this number isn't filled in, this ring group can't be used for services Take
over from group and Take over from my group. Default alert tones – Within this section you
can set up different alert tones for specific situations.
Normal – It sets alert tone which is used at all cases except following two.
Queued – It sets alert tone, which is used by routing to the station with active queue. Incoming call
have to be queued into it, otherwise is used normal alert tone.
No port station – It sets alert tone, which is used by routing to the user with station without carrier
(external station). That user have to have assigned external station and at least one other internal
station (which is active). Otherwise you will hear another alert tone.
Except above mentioned parameters is here available table for object adding. This table consists of
two columns with following meaning:
Destination type – In this column you have to select type of the routing object, where you want to
route incoming calls. You can set there station, user, carrier, set, another ring group, bundle, ring tab
or objects as DISA, voicemail and service. Selected row you can also disable. Don't forget that by
routing to the DISA (with strategy Immediate), voicemail and service is call directly accepted and it
makes no sense to add another objects to such ring group!
Destination Id – With this column you can set up specific object of the selected type.
