DESCRIPTION

Minimum Elevation

Elevation refers to the angle at which a satellite appears in the sky (higher is
better). The Minimum Elevation setting is the minimum angle in the sky at
which the lightbar will acknowledge satellites.

Minimum SNR

SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) is a measure of the quality of a GPS signal. It is
the ratio of useful information received to noise. A high SNR value is better.

Use SBAS satellites in the
position fix

You can use WAAS SBAS satellites to calculate standard GPS positions. This
means that if you can see six standard GPS satellites and two WAAS satellites,
the lightbar uses all eight satellites to calculate the GPS position.
If you are working in fields with obstacles (for example, trees), the additional
SBAS satellites will improve the fix quality.
Note: This option does not work with EGNOS satellites, or OmniSTAR or RTK
corrections.

Minimum Satellites

This is the minimum number of satellites required to provide GPS guidance.

Maximum HDOP

The Maximum HDOP (horizontal dilution of precision) is a measure of
accuracy based on the geometry of the satellites in the sky. If the satellites are
near each other in the sky, the HDOP is higher (lower is better).

Minimum Fix Quality

This is the minimum correction level required to provide GPS guidance.

Force GPS Iono

Forces the lightbar to use the GPS iono map. Turn this option On at higher
latitudes (above 50 North) if the lightbar reports Hybrid Iono for longer than 15
minutes after startup

OnPath Filter

The filter detects and eliminates position jumps that can occur when a satellite
is obscured, for example, by trees.

Configuring NMEA message output

NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) messages are a standard format that enables GPS devices to
communicate.

The lightbar can output NMEA messages. This means that the lightbar can communicate with other devices, even
those created by other manufacturers, so long as the other device is also compatible with NMEA messages.
