CREEN ELEMENTS AND FUNCTIONS

The VTR Control Panel screen elements and functions are
described below.

D

EVICE BAR

The Device bar shows which device is linked to the VTR Control

Panel.

A different device can be selected by right-clicking the Device

bar and selecting the device in the list that appears.

M

ODE SELECTOR

The Mode selector

shows the current state of the window.

By clicking the top right button, the VTR Control Panel expands

to Auto-edit mode.

By clicking the bottom button, the VTR Control Panel expands to
Batch list mode.

T

IME CODE FIELD

The time code field shows the current position of the tape.

The tape can be cued to a defined timecode by entering a value

directly in this field and pressing [enter].

P

REROLL FIELD

The Preroll value defines how far the tape will rewind ahead of
the Mark IN point before it starts to play. This allows the VTR to
spin up and be at operating speed by the time the Mark IN is
reached. This preroll value may have to be adjusted in

consideration of the type of VTR being used.

The Preroll for the VTR value can be changed manually by

entering numbers in this field.
