interfaces, to assist field operators to conduct System
management functions such as Configuration, Performance

Graphical User Interface (GUI)
Field operators may connect to the LCT directly via the RS-232
port on their PCs or Notebooks. The DB9 connector located at
lower-right corner of the main shelf is the physical connector for
the LCT. Operators can conduct local operation via the System’s
menu-driven mode.
If the user has ETHERNET access, connect the LAN port locate at
the MPM front panel or EMS located at the lower-right of the main
shelf will allow user to use Telnet as the management interface.
The operation is exactly the same like the menu-driven of the LCT.
Please note that for security reason, the Telnet interface is by default disabled and
need to enable the feature in LCT before using the Telnet.
Operators may alternatively connect to OptiCore
TM
via the EMS
port at the lower-right of the main shelf, and manage the System
with OptiCore
TM
’s graphical user interfaces (GUI).
