V5.2 Processing Module (V5P)
Overview
The V5.2 Processing Module (V5P) is the processing module to
handle all the CCS message from the V5.2 LE. The V5 protocols are
handled inside the V5P. The ZyXEL V5P can process up to 4
individual V5 links, namely up to 64 E1 physical connections.
When using the V5, the MSAP2000 can be configured as a
single-ended AN in the remote side when the transport system
provides the physical E1 transportation. And if the transport system is
not available, using OIM/SM1/SM4 to provide the optical transport is
more economical. The V5P when used with OIM/SM1/SM4 can also
provide high concentration ratio up to 7560 subscriber lines when
using STM-1 rate.

Application
V5P is used in the application where the V5 LE at central office is
used to provide voice servcies. QE1M must be also used in this
application to provide the physical link between the MSAP2000 and
the V5 LE.
