7.9. Metallic Line Testing Module (MLTM)
Overview
The Metallic Line Testing Module (MLTM) is used to test the copper
wires and devices used for MSAP2000’s analog voice interface. All
tests can be conducted via Local Craft interface or NMS. Test results
are sent back to the interface from which the test command was
executed.

Application
The MLTM can be installed in COT or RT. In COT, it will mainly used
with FXO to perform the connectivity check on PSTN switch (Stage I
test). In RT, it will provide the Stage III test for loop quality.
