7. Product Specification

7.1. Overview

This section provides a detailed introduction to all of MSAP2000’s
components, including its common shelf, system backplane, common
control modules, trunk modules, and subscriber modules/tributary
modules.

Introductions to each Module will include descriptions of its basic
functions, features, functional block diagram, application, dimensions,
and specifications. These details are for the User’s reference, to be
used during planning and material procurement for system design and
architecture.

Unless specifically indicated, the EMI specifications of all Modules
comply with CNS 13438 or CISPR 22 standards. And ESD
specifications comply with IEC 61000-4-2 Class 1 standards. When
MSAP2000 setup is completed, its anti-vibration/anti-quake functions
will comply with FCC 68.302 or ETSI 300 019 standards. All of
MSAP2000’s Voice Modules and external connection Modules can
support over voltage and over current protection. Its lightening
protection device complies with ITU-T K.20/K.21 and IEC 61000-4-5
Class 2 or FCC Part 68 standards.

All Modules are equipped with ejectors for easy insertion and removal.
Each Module has a Flash Memory Device that can store various data
such as setup, performance, hardware version, software program
version information.

LED display lights on the front panel will indicate the function status of
various Modules, such as the power supply status, the microprocessor
status, and the alarm and link status. The LED (Light Emission
Device) status can also be tested, via the LCT, or the ZyXEL Network
Management System (OptiCore

™).
