7.17. Foreign Exchange Station Module (FXS)
Overview
The Foreign Exchange Station Module (FXS) provides 16 channels
of analog voice interfaces for connection to subscriber devices, such
as telephones, fax machines, and analog Modems.
FXS channels provide functions such as RING voltage relay, HOOK
detection, DC current feedings, test relays and line protection.
