Preparations
Preparing the Power Supply
You can power the camera using a battery or a power outlet. You can check in advance the required type of
power source for the camera's configuration (attached lens/accessories and recording settings in use) (

29).
U s ing a Battery
You can power the camera using the LP-E6NH Battery Pack (or the LP-E6N/LP-E6 Battery Pack). When using a
battery for the first time, charge it fully and then use the camera until the battery is completely depleted.
Charging the Battery
Charge battery packs using the LC-E6/LC-E6E Battery Charger. Before charging, remove the terminal cover of
the battery pack.
1 Fully in s ert the battery into the charger.
• Do the opposite to remove the battery.
2 Recharge the battery.
For LC-E6
• As shown by the arrow, flip out the battery charger's
prongs and insert the prongs into a power outlet.
For LC-E6E
• Connect the power cord to the charger and insert the plug
into a power outlet.
• Recharging starts automatically and the charge lamp blinks in
orange.
