Data Menu in Central Control Mode. Information about naming and managing this object are
detailed in the list below:

Data Object Canonical Name - The TTU data object canonical name is based on the Data

Object Name assigned when saving the TTU data object. It has the following format:

MCUST.9300.NA.NA.NA.TTU.dobjname - We recommend that you use a meaningful
data object name, especially for networks in which multiple versions of the TTU data
object will be used.

Data Object Source - This data object is defined and saved using the Translate Table utility.

Data Object Destination - The destination of the TTU data object is a System disk at the

receiving node.

Distributing the Data Object - Use the following steps to distribute the TTU data object to

other LINCS nodes:

1.

Use the Display/Update Translate Table utility to define a TTU data object and save it
to the System disk. Identify the data object by assigning a unique data object ID.

2.

Build a NetView DM transmission plan to distribute the TTU data object to the desired
Network nodes.

3.

If any Network nodes require a different TTU, redefine the TTU at the Central Site and
build a NetView DM transmission plan to distribute the modified TTU to the desired
Network nodes. If desired, you may save the original TTU to a floppy using the Copy
Data Objects utility prior to redefining it.

Record Playback Customization

The Record Playback (RPB) Customization data object records common key sequences.
Function keys can then be used to playback these sequences. Information about naming and
managing this object are detailed in the list below:

Data Object Canonical Name - The RPB data object canonical name is based on the

“RPQ Sequences ID” assigned when saving global playback sequences. It has the following
format:

MCUST.9300.NA.NA.NA.RPB.dobjname

• Data Object Source - This data object is defined and stored on the Record Playback disk

using the Display/Update Playback Sequences, which is on the Customization Data Menu
in Central Control Mode.

• Data Object Destination - The destination of the RPB data object is an RPB disk at the

receiving node.

• Distributing the Data Object - Use the following steps to distribute global key sequences

to other LINCS nodes:

1.

Record the desired key sequences as described in the section titled Record Playback.

2.

Use the Display/Update Playback Sequences utility in Central Control Mode to save
the sequences to the RPB disk.

3.

Build a NetView DM transmission plan to distribute the RPB data object to the desired
Network nodes.
