• CSCF PU=, OP=(/7/1)

This command not only invokes CSCF, but also specifies the utility to be performed. LINCS
executes the utility, and the results are sent inbound to NetView. In this example, the event
log data is sent inbound.

• CSCF PURGE ALL

This command purges all the templates stored at the host VSAM database. This command
is used occasionally to free up the space taken by the unused templates.

For further information on these commands, please refer to the NetView Operations Manual.

Utilities Supported by Central Site Control Facility

For a complete list of all the Central Control Utilities supported by LINCS, please refer to the
LINCS Configuration and Central Control manual.

The following tests are not supported by CSCF:

• Display/Update HAP Session Status

• Extended Attributes Demo

• Operator Initiated Alert

• Update Extended Vital Product Data

Central Site Customization

Central Site Customization (CSC) provides a way to store multiple configurations on a Library
disk. The configurations for all LINCS nodes in a network can be configured and maintained
at a Central Site. The configurations can then be copied to floppies for manual distribution to
the Network Sites, or they can be electronically distributed to the Network Sites using the
Central Site Change Management feature.

Another way to use the Central Site Customization utility is to backup your configurations.
You may want to modify your configuration without losing your current working configuration.
You can use the CSC utility to Retrieve your System Disk configuration and save this
configuration in your CSC library. You may then modify your System disk configuration as
desired. If you need to retrieve your previous configuration, you can do so by using the CSC
Create System Disk function to copy the saved configuration back to your System disk.

The Configuration and Central Control Manuals describe the CSC feature and all of the
functions that are available.

Configuration and Management

Configuration - Central Site Customization is enabled on the General Options panel in
Configuration. When IMLing with default customization data objects (i.e., by pressing Config
at state 500 or when no configuration is stored on the hard disk), CSC will be enabled by
default. That provides a way to save multiple configurations even when your normal
configuration doesn’t provide enough feature memory for CSC operations.

Management - Refer to the Configuration and Central Control Manual for details on how to
use the Central Site Customization Utility.
