• Changing the ASCII Host Transfer Configuration
When you send data to an ASCII session, the data is sent to the ASCII host in a continuous
stream. Control characters embedded in the stream format the data when it reaches the
ASCII session. You can select control characters and formats on the Update ASCII Cut and
Send Parameters panel. The table describes the fields on the Update ASCII Cut and Send
Parameters panel.
You can change the ASCII host transfer configuration from Port 0. Use the Update ASCII
Cut and Send Parameters panel. Press the ExSel key and then the S key to display the
Update ASCII Cut and Send Parameters panel.
Use the PF7 and PF8 keys to scroll backward and forward through the Update ASCII Cut
and Send Parameters panel to display all the classes. Use the cursor movement, Tab, and
Backtab keys to move through the fields on the screen. When you finish changing the
configuration, press the PF10 key to save the changes and leave the configuration screen.
Saving changes is allowed only on Port 0.
