1. Overview
This document is organized into chapters based upon the major features supported by LINCS.
The communications features: APPN NETWORK NODE, DSPU SUPPORT, IPX ROUTING,
IP ROUTING, IP CHANNEL BRIDGE, HOST CONNECTIVITY, and 3270 SERVER
FEATURES which are used to route data through the LINCS node or to end devices which are
attached to the LINCS node are described first.
Subsequent sections discuss the CUT, Network Computer Terminal, and DFT end devices
which are supported along with the device features, RPQs that have been implemented, and
the Management tools which are available to configure and manage your LINCS node.
Three appendices: ASCII Keyboard Control Codes, ASCII Device Setup, and Keyboard Maps
for 3270 Emulation provide information for users of ASCII hosts and devices.
Embedded throughout the document, there are sections titled Configuration and Management.
These sections are included to direct you to the appropriate Central Control utilities for
configuring and managing a particular feature. Refer to the appropriate utilities in the
Configuration and Central Control Manuals for further details.
