Setpoint Screen #35 - Preheat Relay Setpoint
VCC-X Spts ID:#
Preheat Relay
Setpoint: 30.0ºF
For cold climates where freezing temperatures may be experienced,
a Pre-Heater relay output can be activated to control a preheat coil
based on the Outdoor Air Temperature to prevent freezing of Water
Coils. One of the VCC-X Relay Outputs must be confi gured for the
Pre-Heater control. When confi gured, any time the Outdoor Air Tem-
perature falls below the Preheat Setpoint during Occupied Mode and
the HVAC unit’s fan is running, the Pre-Heater relay will activate.
This setpoint will also be used to enable the PREHEAT-X Control-
ler if it is being used in conjunction with the VCC-X Controller.

Setpoint Screen #36 - Low Ambient Setpoint
VCC-X Spts ID:#
Low Ambient
Setpoint: 30.0ºF
Similar to the Pre-Heat Relay, a Low Ambient Relay can be confi g-
ured to energize anytime (during Occupied or Unoccupied Mode)
the Outdoor Air Temperature falls below this setpoint. The Low
Ambient Relay, though, can energize whether the fan is running or
not. This could be used to energize a boiler, for instance.

Setpoint Screen #38 - Morning Warm Up Max
Length & Target Temp
VCC-X Spts ID:#
Morning WarmUp
Max Length: 60 Min
Target Temp: 70.0º F
When the VCC-X is confi gured for Morning Warm-up and the con-
troller enters the Occupied Mode, the VCC-X looks at the Return
Air Temperature to determine if the unit should initiate Morning
Warm-up Mode. If the Return Air Temperature is below the Morning
Warm-up Target Temperature and the Max Length is greater than
“0,” the VCC-X will initiate Heating. This is considered Morning
Warm-up and will run until the Return Air Temperature rises above
the Morning Warm-up Target Temperature or until the Max Length
Setpoint time expires.
