Ethernet EtherSAM (Y.1564) and RFC 2544 Dual Test Set Test Cases
Create the test on the local module as follow:
1. On the local module, proceed with the test creation as described
above (starting with step 1 on page 74) at the exception of the
following parameters:
1a. Select the desired EtherSAM (Y.1564) or RFC 2544 sub test(s). All
sub tests are selected by default.
For RFC 2544:
Enable Throughput: Gives the maximum throughput of the
device under test for which there is no frame loss. Refer to
Throughput Configuration on page 256 for more information.
Enable Back-to-Back: Gives the maximum number of frames that
can be sent at maximum throughput. Refer to Back-to-Back
Configuration on page 259 for more information.
Enable Frame Loss: Gives the percentage of frames that are lost.
Refer to Frame Loss Configuration on page 261 for more
information.
Enable Latency: Gives the time required for the sent frame to go
through the device under test. Refer to Latency Configuration on
page 263 for more information.
For EtherSAM (Y.1564):
Configuration Test consists in sequentially testing each service.
It validates that the service is properly provisioned and that all
specific KPIs or SLA parameters are met.
Performance Test simultaneously validates the quality of all the
services over time.
1b. For Dual Test Set Mode (see step 1e on page 74), select the Local
test mode.
