(B) Piston pin and brushing clearance
1. Measure the piston pin O.D. with an outside
micrometer.
2. Measure the piston pin busing I.D. with an inside
micrometer.
3. If the clearance exceeds the allowable limit with new
bushing, replace the piston pin.
(C)Replacing piston pin bushing
1. Press out the bushing, using a piston pin bushing
replacing tool.
2. Clean the new bushing and the bore and apply oil
to them.
3. Press in the bushing, using the replacing tool.
IMPORTANT:
•
Align the oil holes of the connecting rod and the
bushing.

3) Connecting rod and piston
(A) Piston pin bore
1. Measure the I.D. of piston pin bore in piston (length-
wise and widthwise of the piston) with a cylinder
gauge.
2. If the measurement exceeds the allowable limit, re-
place the piston.
