9.9.5 Park Brake Warning Indicator Troubleshooting

Park brake warning
indicator stays ON
with park brake
disengaged.
If OK
Replace park brake switch.
Retest switch.
If OK
Not

Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:
1. Fuses.
2. Battery for proper charge.
3. All connections relating to
circuit are clean and tight.
4. Check instrument cluster
bulbs for proper function.

Check park brake switch for
battery voltage on wire
42A (TAN).
Check park brake switch for
battery voltage at wire 152A
(BLK/WHT).
Check fuses.
