Software/Firmware Versions
There are three different pieces of software and firmware used in a Sd-50/xx:
‘Mp3 Config.exe’
This program lives on your PC. It can be easily updated by replacing the program on your PC. The
software revision number is found under the ‘Help’ pulldown under the ‘about’:
Firmware
This is the least likely to need updating. It resides in a microcontroller on the Sd-50/xx. The revision
number of this firmware is shown at the top of all the configuration screens accessed through the serial
port of the Sd-50/xx. The next section describes how it is updated.
