Check whether there are any

network problems.

E-mail transmission was refused by SMTP au-
thentication or POP before SMTP authentica-
tion.

• Check the user name and password for

SMTP or POP before SMTP authentication
are correctly programmed in Fax Mail Re-
ception Account under File Transfer in Sys-
tem Settings. See "Settings You Can
Change with User Tools-File Transfer",
Network Guide.

• Check the user name and password of the

e-mail account are correctly programmed
from Fax Mail Reception Account under
File Transfer in System Settings. See "Set-
tings You Can Change with User Tools-File
Transfer", Network Guide.

• Consult your network administrator.

Check whether there are any

network problems.

No machine's e-mail address is programmed.

• Check the fax machine's e-mail address is
