Key codes
Regardless when the code is prompted, three different key codes can be
entered [tab. 10].
Entering a key code: Press the control panel buttons in the sequence listed.
A valid key code switches the printer into the appropriate mode.
Possible Settings
Disabled
Password prompt turned off (default)
Power-up code
Displays the password prompt when the printer is turned on.
After the key code is entered, the printer starts in user or supervisor mode.
User
Displays the password prompt when accessing the parameter menu.

The printer starts in offline mode.
• Changes to online mode are allowed.
• To see the parameters-menu, enter a valid key code
• Valid key codes: all
Supervisor
As setting User, with different valid key codes:
• Valid key codes: Supervisor
User auto start
(Not with 9844) Printer starts without the password prompt. Only the menus
PRINT INFO and SERVICE DATA are available.
Realtime clock
9864 9854
The realtime clock provides the actual date and time. Set the date and time
with the Easy Plug #YC, #YS or #DM commands.
Setting date / time:
1. Press Cut until the digit you need to change blinks.
2. Press Feed until you see the digit you need.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until the date and time are set correctly.
4. Press Online.

Press Esc to exit the parameter without changing the setting.
