General Information
To access the parameter menu, from offline mode, press Prog.
¯
CAUTION! - Wait at least 10 seconds between turning off the printer and
turning it back on; otherwise, any modified parameter settings are not saved.
¯
CAUTION! - With some parameters, incorrect settings may damage the
printer (for example, if the printhead temperature is too high).
¯
Other settings may delete data or print jobs. Follow the information care-
fully.
All status printouts and parameters are described in the same order as they
may appear in the parameter menu.
¯
Not all parameters apply to each printer!
For example:
Fig. 1: At the beginning of each parameter description, the availability of the parameter is
specified: Between the two lines is a list of the supported printer types; the remark
below (arrow) gives further information.
This bar indicates:
• The printer type:
Printers that support the parameter are listed between the lines. Example
(see
fig. 1 ): 9864, 9844, and 9854.
• The configuration with options and/or certain parameter settings:
Example (see
fig. 1 ): The parameter only appears in the menu of a 9864, if
the device is a dispensing model.
