Disk Drive Test Mode Messages
Description of Message
Testing Disk Drive

This message indicates the printer is in
the process of testing the Floppy Disk
Drive.
Formatting Disk
< Please Wait >
This message indicates the printer is in
the process of formatting the diskette
contained in the Floppy Disk Drive.
Saving OS to Disk
xx% Complete
This message indicates the completion
status of saving the printer’s system
software to the diskette.
Disk Not Present
Press RESET to Continue
This message indicates the printer could
not access the diskette.
This error can occur when:
•
The Floppy Disk Drive is empty.
•
The diskette is removed from the
Floppy Disk Drive during the test
process.
To correct this error:
1. Press the RESET key to terminate the
test.
2. Insert a good diskette into the Floppy
Disk Drive. (Ensure the write protect
tab on the diskette is not set.)
Access Denied
Press RESET to Continue
This message indicates the printer could
not write data to the diskette because it is
write protected.
This error can occur when:
•
The write protect tab on the diskette
is set.
To correct this error:
1. Press the RESET key to terminate the
test.
2. Ensure the write protect tab on the
diskette is not set.
