Basting
® Stitch pattern:

(D Thread tension dial;
1 to 3
(D P: Embroidery foot
® Attaching the Embroidery Foot
[T] Raise the needie
U] Remove the foot holder by loosening the thumb
screw,
iH Attach the Embroidery foot on the presser bar
putting the pin on the needle clamp. Tighten the
thumb screw firmly with a large screwdriver.

^Starting to sew
[T) Lower the feed dogs by switching the drop feed lever to
the right (See page 24)
H] Set the thread tension dial between 1 and 3,
[H Put some fabric under the foot and press Up/down
needle button twice to bring the needie thread down
through the hole in the foot. Pull the fabric and thread
to the rear. Lower the presser foot.
13] While pressing down the foot control, gently pull and
guide the fabric.
m When the machine is stopped after 1 stitch sewing,
pull the threads and fabric to the near side and cut the
threads,
{S Repeat steps IS to Ej to sew. Afrer finishing sewing,
pull the threads and fabric to the rear side.
After sewing, reset the thread tension diai at “AUTO"
and raise the feed dogs, sfide the drop feed lever to
the left.
