The machine manufacturer must perform a function test on the safe-
guard before putting the press brake into service. During this test the
press brake must be fully configured with the upper tool (maximum
weight). The test should be performed at maximum closing speed.

The safeguards should be tested after each machine modification (e.g.
after entering the overrun, after a tool change, after changes to the press
controller). The tests should be the same as those carried out during in-
itial commissioning.
Changing the PSENvip or swapping PSENvip components should also
be regarded as a modification.
You must comply with the requirements of the applicable national regu-
lations.

Safeguards must undergo a regular function test:
After switching on the supply voltage for the first press stroke
At least every 30 hours

qualified personnel.

The check following modifications may only be carried out by
qualified personnel.
NOTICE
The safety-related control system must request these regular
inspections of the safeguard via a user program.
