4: pH Sensors
2. Activate channels with pH sensors and enter their analysis wavelengths (table on next page):
• HA (acid peak)
• A (base peak)
• Baseline
• The isobestic point is not currently used in the OOISensors pH module.
Note
If you aren’t sure what these wavelengths are, measure the absorbance in OOIBase32 or
SpectraSuite to determine the peaks and where an appropriate baseline is. The baseline should be
beyond the last peak (no absorbance should be present). These wavelength values are used in all
of the computations and must be entered correctly. See the table on the following page for more
information.
3. Click the OK button to close the configuration panel.
4. Unscrew the tip of the probe (both the transmission and reflection probe have a screw tip) and
place a single piece of the film inside the probe.
5. Screw the tip back onto the probe.
